麻豆传媒 (麻豆传媒) will add men鈥檚 and women鈥檚 varsity outdoor track beginning in the Spring 2027 season.
The expansion is supported in part by a grant from the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Foundation, which helps member colleges grow athletic opportunities and support student athletes.
鈥淲e are thrilled to bring outdoor track to 麻豆传媒,鈥 said Athletic Director Ashley Antonishen. 鈥淭his addition provides a vital bridge for our cross country student-athletes to compete year round while teaching and building resilience, discipline, and leadership. We are incredibly grateful to the NJCAA Foundation for their support in helping us develop the whole student-athlete.鈥
The addition of outdoor track expands 麻豆传媒鈥檚 athletics offerings and continues the college鈥檚 investment in opportunities for student athletes. The NJCAA provides pathways for student athletes to pursue academics and athletics simultaneously, often continuing on to four-year institutions.
鈥淭he NJCAA Foundation is excited to further support the growth of NJCAA member colleges and the sport programs they offer through the NJCAA Sport Opportunity Grant,鈥 said Andrew Givens, executive director of the NJCAA Foundation. 鈥淭he ability to provide this funding is a testament to the importance and growth of two-year collegiate athletics. The NJCAA Foundation looks forward to this initiative鈥檚 impact as NJCAA member colleges continue to create opportunities for student athletes across the country.鈥
Head Cross Country Coach Rod Anderson will lead the outdoor track program and is currently seeking assistant coaches. Those interested may contact Antonishen. Prospective student athletes can learn more at .
